Peer Network Engagement Intern
Aaron is a sophomore history major at Lewis & Clark College. He was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He attended Jewish Day School through middle school at Pressman Academy at Temple Beth Am. His mother is a Jewish educator and his father is a cantor, so he was raised in a Jewish household with a strong Jewish identity. He grew up at a conservative synagogue in LA and considers himself a Conservative Jew. He enjoys playing and listening to music, especially jazz, rock and classical. He has played guitar for seven years and saxophone for one year. He enjoys reading about history and fiction in general. While he is interested in all history, he most enjoys Jewish history and Eastern European history. For some strange, unknown reason, he really likes Russia and will be spending next fall studying at St. Petersburg State University. He is involved with Hillel at Lewis & Clark because Judaism is a central aspect of his identity. Growing up in a Jewish community, being an active member of a Jewish community is important to him. As an engagement intern, he is excited to help other Jews looking for community feel comfortable as members of Hillel at Lewis & Clark.
